I have worked in Food Service for approximately 45 years. Starting out in Restaurants, developing catering programs and then on to Hospital Food Service in the late 80’s.
I launched my own consulting business approximately 25 years ago. Since that time, I worked with numerous hospitals (often partnering with larger consulting firms) to help them improve their food service operations' bottom lines. I provide Labor Productivity, as well as Non-Labor Operational improvement services. These projects typically produce an average of $500,000 (for smaller facilities of 100-150 beds) and up to $1,000,000 for average - sized to larger clients (250 beds +) in annual savings - or more.
Additionally, I provide interim management services if needed in special situations.
I review a department from an operational to financial perspective. My goal is always to improve food quality, patient satisfaction and employee morale (inside and from outside the department) along with financial savings and/or increased sales.
My goal with this web-site is to promote marketing plans for food service operations that will inspire and bring enjoyment to both the department/company and those availing themselves of the service. This always increases sales but also increases participation and employee morale both in the department and without.
